So I bought the tr-5 as a replacement for a BenchMade CLA. It was a perfect EDC imo. So after its demise I bought this TR-5. Roughly the same size. However what a huge difference. I always read of the “Protech blade speed”. It’s no joke. The CLA was sleepy compared to this knife. This thing bangs out with a satisfying snap. Blade is delivered sharper the my old EDC. The fit and finish are what you should expect from a premium knife. Unless this gets dropped into a shredder like my trusty BenchMade, I’ll hold on to this knife for years. Buy it. You will not be disappointed.
